From IDFA to Workout Warrior Athletics (WWA)

A Legacy Built Over Two Decades

 

International Drug Free Athletics (IDFA) was founded in 2005 with a clear mission: to provide a respected, drug-free platform for athletes to compete, grow, and be recognized for their hard work.

 

From 2005 to 2025, IDFA established itself as one of the most recognized natural physique organizations in Canada.

 

IDFA by the Numbers

  • Founded: 2005

  • 157 live IDFA competitions produced

  • 10 IDFA Online Competitions hosted

  • Over 10,000 athletes have stepped onto the IDFA stage

  • Over 1,000 athlete transformations showcased through the IDFA Transformation Challenge (launched in 2009, making IDFA an early leader in this division)

 

What began as one show in Toronto, Canada, quickly grew into a national tour.


At its peak, IDFA was producing up to 16 shows per year, spanning the entire country — from Moncton, New Brunswick on the East Coast to Vancouver, British Columbia on the West Coast.

IDFA events have also featured notable Canadian celebrities and public figures, including:

In 2026, IDFA was not shut down or abandoned — it was recreated, refined, and rebranded.

 

Workout Warrior Athletics (WWA) represents the next evolution of everything IDFA built:

WWA expands on the foundation of IDFA by introducing Physique Sports — a modern, athletic, and media-ready competition format designed for today’s athletes and the future of the sport.
